　　谈到政治，定会谈到政客，而谈到政客，金钱和美女随之而来。而如今日新月异，斗转星移，帅哥也成为很多政客的追逐对象，丑闻也好，恋人也罢，人们从中认识到同志们不再只是寄居边缘，玩文弄墨。她们/他们融入到了世界的决策者之中，用一种更直接有力的方法来一起参与创建美好和谐世界。 “同志亦凡人”独家采访了来中国访问的美国西好莱坞市同性恋市长John J. Duran和他的同性伴侣，他们的爱情故事充满了好莱坞式的传奇，让人回味无穷。John J. Duran作为一名公开的同性恋者和HIV感染者，他一直非常关注同志文化和同志权力的发展，他专程来到北京同志文化活动中心来见证开幕仪式，同时作为证婚人，市长也为中国一对同志的婚礼送上祝福。

Duran, the queer mayor of West Hollywood, and his partner, on their visit to China. Their story is very much a Hollywood tale. John J. Duran lives openly as a gay man and as an HIV positive individual. He has always been very involved in the development of queer culture and queer rights.
