    LGBT Horoscope Party No.2-----The Super Taurus Mother

      I’m NOT saying that only Taurus mothers are great, but there is a super mother who will spend her Mother’s Day in our center! She is Wu youjian, the first mother appear on TV to support her gay son in China. 

     Wu youjian will spend a fun and special Mother's Day in Beijing LGBT Culture and Activity Center. And besides, she will open herself to share how to be a gay’s mother, and answer the questions about parent child relationship that confusing you. 

    About Wu Youjian

     

    WU Youjian was born in 1947 to parents who had long served the communist party. She graduated from high school in Guangzhou at the outset of the Cultural Revolution (1966) and was later sent to the country to farm, like millions of her peers. She returned to Guangzhou in 1979 and worked with a literary magazine until 1996. She published a book of personal photographs in 1993, the first non-celebrity to do so in China. She also pioneered as a gay child’s parent who goes on television. In August 2006, she wrote for the mass-circulated magazine Family to tell the story of her acceptance of a gay son. She is a freelance editor.

    The Content of the activity will be composed of four main parts:

    1、           The introduction and the beginning show.

    2、           Mrs. Wu will talk about the relationship between parents and their gay child. 3、           Group discussion with Mrs. Wu.

    4、           Gift giving to Mrs. Wu to celebrate her Mother’s Day.

    5、   Dinner rest (17:30-19:00)

    6、   We will show a film named Touch of Pink at seven o’clock. It is a comedy about how the Hindus mother accept her gay son. The film shows the love of mothers strongly.  The critic of the movie: http://www.douban.com/review/1015974/
